Atraumatic work in bone using ultrasound technology (Piezosurgery)

Piezosurgery, is relatively  new and revolutionary  branch in surgery, including dentistry, which reduces trauma during the work and increases comfort of patients. Piezo unit works on the principle of piezoelectric and ultrasonic microvibrations which is completely atraumatic method of work in bone without damage to the surrounding  soft tissues, without the use of mechanical machine tools and drils, resulting in very little postoperative swelling.
The advantages of piezosurgery are:

  • Minimal damage to soft tissues and minimal bone loss
  • Minimal bleeding
  • Excellent postoperative period
  • Precision and maximum intraoperative visibility
  • Protection of dental structures, rapid recovery and healing

Indications:

  • Piezo device used in atraumatic tooth extraction, which preserves the surrounding bone structure
  • Taking a bone graft for augmentation of the alveolar ridge
  • Sinuslift procedure
  • Spread the alveolar ridge for implants insertion.
